Overcoming the fear of effort

1.        Remember that you body and mind grows accustom to discomfort. They adapt to become more efficient at tasks. This will become easier.

2.        You always have a choice. Remember the reason behind your effort.

3.        Everything is temporary  including these uncomfortable sensations.

4.        Commit to doing an amount and intensity you are comfortable with. When you start, you often feel like continuing.

5.        Focus on your identity rather than the task. E.g. I’m an athlete and running is what I do.
