1. Caring about what others think of them. It is human nature to want to be accepted and embraced by others. In the past it was necessary for survival. When humans give their attention to something else and consider something more important, then the mind will stop worrying about other people's opinion. E.g a human running away from a murderer will not care about what onlookers think of their new shoes.
2. The need to feel useful and important. Humans feel as though they have a purpose on earth. Humans feel uncomfortable and insecure when they are not working toward or for something. Humans often spend time and energy on something they do not enjoy or gain real benefit from to satisfy a meaningless discomfort. Identify work that is unnecessary before you begin. Realise that life is temporary, absurd and meaningless and do not do something that you will gain joy from now or in the future.
3. Being ungrateful. Humans want what they do not have. We imagine a future where we are satisfied. When we reach that future, we feel the same as we do now. Consciously note everything great in your current circumstances and build a positive attitude. Require nothing more than what is in front of you.
4. Humans form attachments. We become addicted to certain things. When we are without those things, we feel uncomfortable and think about the next time we will receive them. Note your attachments and and limit your exposure to them. Over time you will live happily without them. Let go and you will become free.
5. Humans are easily influenced. We adopt the values and beliefs to which we are exposed. Many of us prioritise things that are not important to us e.g wealth, high social status. Our personalities are a product of our environment. You should identify your own true values and surround yourself with positive, supportive people.
6. Humans are irrational. Irrational behaviour is triggered by pressure , excitement, previous experiences and other humans making you mad or supporting the behaviour. You should increase your reaction time, notice your emotions and examine the facts before you act
