Things that damage your brain

  1. loud noises. Whether it is listening to music at a club/through headphones or the constant blaring of car horns in a city.

  2. multi tasking. It causes certain parts of the brain to shrink.

  3. sleep deprivation. Increases the risk of many diseases

  4. Overwork.

  5. Lack of stimulation and brain strain. Cells become dormant when they are not utilised. Read, do puzzles and engage in intellectual conversation.

  6. Low oxygen and high carbon dioxide intake. Often caused by sleeping with cover over head or when in cramped area with lots of people. Oxygen is vital for brain function.

  7. Dehydration. Influences electrolyte levels in the body. Memory and attention are affected.

  8. unhealthy food, smoking, lack of exercise and alcohol
