1. Define what is objectively happening and compare your interpretation of the situation.
2. Identify the single next step for you to take. Don’t consider more until that is complete.
3. Remember there is only the present moment. If you need to plan, schedule time to do so. Otherwise you should focus on your senses and surroundings.
4. Review and judge the situation only when it is over. You will miss the experience if you are trying to label it. Endeavour to notice instead.
5. Identify your preconceptions. Try to forget them and gain an unspoilt perspective of the situation.
