Naming or writing down what you are grateful for, is useless. Gratitude is to be manifested in the way you think and feel. To build a grateful mindset, do the following instead…..
Be confident in your own opinion. Everyone has their own values. Don’t follow the crowd. Notice the things that you personally enjoy.
Stop comparing. If you always look for better, you will never find it. Everything has positive aspects. Find and nurture them in what you have, regardless of the quality. Don’t pursue the best.
The following step is difficult but results in less pain and more pleasure overall…. Expose yourself to hardship and take on difficult challenges. You lose perspective of pain and joy when you live a sheltered life.
Realise that labels combat gratitude. Preconceptions make it impossible to notice the beauty in things. In reality, great aspects can be found everywhere in anything.
