1. Follow your own path. Decide your own values and achieve them the way you want to. Believe based on your own interpretation and not the beliefs of others. Follow your own code for life and have your own moral code.
2. Don’t form attachments. You are a prisoner of your attachments. It becomes impossible to live happily without them. When you have no attachments you will need nothing and can find happiness in every situation.
3. Be grateful and present. We are only content when we have enough. Decide you need nothing and are satisfied with what is in front of you. See the beauty of what is in front of you and do not compare it to others. You imagine a future where you have something better and you are happy. You reach the future and you find yourself having the same thought. You can only be happy now with what you have.
4. Be conscious with everything you do. Ask yourself who what where when why and how in every situation. Do not waste your time and effort unnecessarily Do not do anything that does not make you happy right now or in the future. Predict the consequences of your actions and decide if they are worth it.
5. Embrace changes and anything out of your control. Do not suffer unnecessarily. Focus your attention on the positive and enjoy the uncontrollable. Accept and let go of the pain it brings. Do not suffer a second time hating it. Embrace periods of relaxation when there is nothing you can do. Be flexible and adapt to the new situation.
6. Embrace challenges that you can handle and accept the ones you cannot. Make the struggle enjoyable and realise it is a part of life. If you run from a challenge in your life, it’s consequences often build up and it becomes harder to complete.
